LUXE MINIMALISM WEDDING INSPIRATION

1st December 2021

If you are in the middle of planning a destination wedding and your style is understated and organic, then this contemporary, minimalist wedding editorial is a must see for you.

This styled shoot was set in the Italian region of Puglia – one that celebrates modern Mediterranean architecture, relaxed minimalism, and laid-back luxury.

Magdalena from All Things Beautiful wanted to build the concept around the organic, clean lines found in this unique Italian village, delicious food, breathtaking views and beautiful colours.

Prevalent in the design concept is the motif of the sea — from the colour palette and the octopus detail seen on stationery, table art mimicking the organic shape of wild pearls, to the tentacle-inspired texture of the wedding cake.

For the wedding stationery I created a modern suite in different shades of blues and off whites, working in a tiny understated gold foil octopus motif to some stationery elements, using hot foiling printing techniques and luxury gf smith card stocks. Paring with contemporary yet timeless serif fonts and emphasising the white space on the design to create a cool, minimal and organic feel.

I hope you find this Italian destination wedding editorial inspiring and brimming with ideas for your own weeding. The shoot has also recently been featured in New Zealand’s leading wedding magazine Together Journal.
