Top Wedding Dress Trends For 2013
30th December 2012
We all know how overwhelming it can be when you first begin to search for that ‘perfect wedding dress’, what with the endless amounts of dresses that are out there!! So to give you a little helping hand with perhaps where to begin, we have identified the key trends from the Bridal Catwalks Autumn/Winter 2013.
Long Sleeved Chic
Thanks to the Duchess of Cambridge, the long sleeve brings a must have fresh direction to bridal gowns. The long sleeve is mainly seen with high neck lines and can be worn long, short or even capped, creating the most sleek and desired look!
Sheer Illusions
Sheer chiffon and tulle are used together with lace appliques creating exquisite illusion details across the neck, back and sleeves.
Vintage Years
The most gorgeous vintage inspired gowns, with key shapes being particularly influenced from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, beautiful intricate laces and satins are seen throughout and teamed with a stylish flapper girl head piece your look is complete!
Tints of non white
With the end of 2012 seeing Justin Timberlake marring long term girlfriend Jessica Biel in a blushing pink bridal gown (wow) by Giambattista Valli, we are sure she won’t be the only bride that picks up on this far from traditional wedding dress trend. The pale pastels can create the most romantic feminine feel for that bride that wants something with a touch of difference.
Layered Look
We think this trend is great for brides who either want to show a bit of leg whilst maintaining a more traditional feel with the long train or they simply desire the layered look!
One shouldered
As an extension of the gown or simply a lace overlay, we think this one shouldered trend is perfect for the bride who is looking for a bit more coverage from a standard strapless gown.
